With nearly forty years in the industry we remain an independent, family owned company with very little in the way of staff turnover and because of this our nine members of staff are able to draw on a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Our established pedigree of designing and building bespoke filling and capping machines gives us the confidence to meet any viable challenge. We have completed systems for a wide variety of industrial applications which include paints, chemicals, lubricants, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, beverages and foods.
Using ‘state of the art’ 3D modelling software we are able to design filling or capping machines to your exact requirements. Design features available include full bottom up filling for foaming or flammable products, top filling for non foaming products and a choice of metering technologies such as positive displacement, flow metering or weighing. Capping machines can include both cap/bottle unscrambling and tightening or simply just tightening.
We specialise in filling and capping machinery for flammable and aggressive materials, these machines include the use of specialised materials and control systems. Products such as acids, caustic solutions and flammable solvents are filled on such machinery in order to comply with relevant health and safety and Atex legislation.
Although our machines have an excellent track record of reliability, the everyday wear and tear on components, especially when operating continuously, means that regular cleaning and maintenance is important. We offer all of our clients the opportunity to take advantage of the SP Fillings Systems maintenance programme in order to keep their filling machines at optimum operating efficiency and minimise downtime. The maintenance programme is tailored to the specific needs of each client and takes into account the environment, the duty cycle and the products for each machine.
